Our story

10 years in vintage

Ten years ago it was one bale of clothes in a garage. Today it's a buying team of 40 in Pakistan's markets.

  2. 2016Where it began

    It started in a garage

My parents' garage, one bale of Tommy and Ralph mix, and a full-time job. Every evening I'd open the bale, pick out the good pieces, photograph them, upload them, and reinvest everything.

“One bale. That's all it was.”

  3. 2019Scale the stock

    Our first warehouse

We learned that to scale sales, you have to scale stock. So we took our first warehouse and went from 200 pieces to 10,000, becoming a top seller on Depop and ASOS Marketplace and a Pre-loved partner on eBay.

    200 → 10,000pieces

    Our second warehouse

We scaled so fast the first warehouse couldn't hold us. Our own website and ads took sales from £500 a day to £5,000 a day, so we moved into a second warehouse, with over 50,000 pieces in stock.

    Three shops in London

We opened three shops in London and sold vintage face to face, learning what sells on a rail, not just on a screen.

  6. 2025The numbers

    From a £500 bale to £3.6 million

That first £500 bale grew into £3.6 million in total sales, all from vintage clothing. At our peak we sold £350,000 in a single month, and over £25,000 on one Black Friday. But this was only the beginning.

  8. 2023The setback

    Then we got scammed

A supplier in Pakistan took our money and kept our stock. So I flew out there to get it back.

“We went to get our stock back. We stayed two months and learned how the markets really work.”

  9. 2023The turn

    We met Faisal

Out there I met Faisal. He helped us get our stock back, then started buying for us in the markets, piece by piece. He became our partner.

  10. 2024Built out of necessity

    Our own process centre

We needed stock we could trust, so we built our own process centre in Pakistan: a team of 30 washing, mending, photographing and uploading every piece for our UK business.

  12. 2025What we were best at

    Finding the best pieces

Now we could source volume and process it, so we started The Vintage Wholesaler. We have access to the best, cheapest stock in the world, and a team ready to process it.

“The stock was always the secret.”

    Now we buy for you

So we went all in. Wholesale is now our only business: a team trained to hand-pick the best pieces in Pakistan's markets, and a team trained to process them. Every order is built to the buyer's own brief, piece by piece.

“The only A-to-Z processing wholesaler in the world.”

Don't take our word for it

Pre-worn is the UK's biggest eBay vintage store: 2.2 million sales and around 500,000 pieces on the shelf. We've supplied them for 18 months. Those are our pieces, on their store.
