What vintage clothing sells for on eBay UK: 52,000 sales, by brand and type

Short answer: across 52,559 eBay UK sales of branded vintage clothing, the typical (median) piece sold for £10.80 for a T-shirt, £14.00 for a hoodie and £26.70 for a jacket. Outerwear sells for the most, and the brand matters more than anything: a Stone Island puffer jacket sold for a median £230, against £31.90 for a typical puffer.
We collected these numbers to price our own stock. They are real sold prices, not asking prices: 413 brand and type combinations, 51 to 267 recent sales each, from UK sellers. The prices are what the buyer paid for the item, before platform fees and postage.

What this means if you resell vintage
- Jackets carry the margin. A typical jacket sells for about 2.5 times a typical T-shirt, for the same work to photograph and list.
- Brand beats type. The spread inside one type is wide: the middle half of hoodie brands runs from £8.20 to £22.00. Know your brands before you buy.
- Tees and polos are volume. Lower prices, but they sell steadily and are cheap to post.
- Sold, not listed. Always price from sold listings. Asking prices on eBay and Vinted run well above what things actually sell for.
How we collected it
eBay UK sold listings from UK sellers, the most recent sales for each brand and type (51 to 267 sales each), collected 6 Nov 2026. For each brand and type we searched eBay UK sold listings, kept the most recent sales and took the 25th, 50th (median) and 75th percentile price. Combinations with fewer than 20 sales are left out. Prices include VAT where charged and exclude postage. Condition varies from new with tags to well worn, so treat these as a guide to typical prices, not a promise.
